Need a quick fix

So my venture into real lace knitting (Ishbel in Yubina cashmere silk) has been slow. So slow, I had to go back and start again because I messed up the center stitch. Don't ask.

After frogging it and getting about 1/3 of the way to where I had been, I just decided to cast on a quick knit. It is summer but I decided to knit up a cowl in my new favorite yarn... Malabrigo Aquarella in the color Yi. It turned out really well. The brioche stitch confused me but I managed to figure it out based on this site. Buttons are from beadfreaky on Etsy.

Alan would like me to knit him one. :)
