Well, the list is a lot harder than I thought it would be... in fact, I've completed one item on the list, I'm another year older, and I haven't finished the list!

  2. Run/walk a 10k
  3. Dancing lessons
  4. Make a croquembouche

Oh Martha...

I noticed this project in an old Martha Stewart magazine. I tore out the page so I can't be sure which month but I think it was last September. Anyway, here is what you need:

1. Spray the tiles the color you want your lace to be first. I chose Lagoon. Wait 20 or so minutes until dry. If you want your tile color to show through as your lace color then skip this step and proceed.

2. Spray the lace bit with spray adhesive and place on tile. Use tweezers to fiddle with lace to get it straight.
3. Spray over the lace with your next color. I went with matte gold. Wait at least 3 minutes before you remove your lace piece. I found I could reuse the lace with spray adhesive 4 times before it got 'blurry.' Let dry 20 or so minutes before moving.
4. I found some rubber feet to put on the bottom of the tiles so they won't scratch furniture. I am betting you could use cork or large felt pieces too.

Enjoy your new tiles!

Pretty things...

I was given this green hobnail vase as a thank you from a very special lady. Thank you Grandma Roma. It is lovely and goes well with my other pieces.

I'm working on obtaining an inexpensive hutch/display case for my milk glass and hobnail. Wish me luck!

Spring time in the city...

When Aunt Shirley left town, we got together to work on some projects to surprise her. Tiny guy napped and played. It was quite a time! Alan sanded a table. Miss CJ climbed trees. Frankie had some Grandma time. Now that it is full on summer, it seems so long ago that this day happened.

My knitting class is over and I'm just about finished with my knit t-shirt. Little guy has been crawling for two weeks and he is sitting himself up so well. He is just getting the hang of pulling himself up my legs so other objects are not far off.

Our trip to the Pacific Northwest went well. Tiny is quite a traveler. We are taking a bit of a break but are planning to head north to Montana soon to meet with Kirbie, EB, and the boys! Posts on the travel blog soon.
